Hey guys my 9800gt just died on me and i need a new card,plus my warranty and the card is expired so i have no choice but to buy a new card,so is this worth the extra cash because i was thinking on buying the 4850 instead,plus this only has a hdmi port for the monitor,while mine has a vga port so i still need to buy a converter,also my psu may not have 2 pci connectors(im not sure),so is this worth the cash?
@pokdspok
lol you mean logan ๐ he quit…
If you’re in a hurry on a budget PC to play Final Fantasy XIV in time for the pre-release, then this card will definitely do the job and is worth the buy. It won’t get you max settings, but the game is gorgeous anyway without them and you can do that later. You’ll be able to play the game better than on the upcoming PS3 by far, in passes the minor and recommended settings, and has a little headroom too.
Playing Final Fantasy XIV on this until I can get a 5000 series in CrossfireX. It’s no dream computer, but it’ll be able able to handle the lower settings just fine and healthy, which are gorgeous. I’m a person who still loves Final Fantasy XI, and still manages to be amazed at PlayStation 1 emulating. So this is more than gorgeous and worth it. Handles the lower of the two Benchmark options on FFXIV with 2700+ Score.
(Though technically mine is an HIS, they’re both 4870s)
@wasssabio Dude… AMD *MADE* the card. It’ll work, but some Intel processors back when this was released were faster than AMD made ones so…. Yeah it’ll work but maybe not as well. (MAYBE)
3:12 he just flip’d me off…
wait, does this work on amd? wtf he keeps saying this is good for intel boards n shtuff
@KRandMJ jus get a 9600gt xD
@KRandMJ HD4770 dude
Does anyone have any advice on what graphics card I should get? I have a Intel Pentium E5400 @ 2.7 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, and a GeForce 8500gt (Windows xp), and my psu is either 300-500 watts… Gotta double check though…
@blizz2k why would the 512 mb even be comparable as in whats the advantage to having 512mb of memory?
@Loche1337 aight thx man!
@komplex71 It is easy to overclock, use Catalyst Control senter aka CCC.
@Loche1337 is hard to over clock it urself or is it easy? also do i have to have any equipment to over clock it?
@komplex71 get a stock 5770 and overclock it. I had a stock 5770, pci-e 2.0.
@Loche1337 if i get a over clocked version will the pci slot stay the same, because i was looking at some over clocked ones and the slots were pci xpress 2.1x not 2.0 so i dont know if my mobo wil fit it
@komplex71 Get the 5770, dx11 and if you overclock it you get better frames. ๐
now i would get the 5770 with 1 gb. its really better. i had both.
should i get the 4870 or the 5770?
is the 4770 better?
I cant wait to grab this card. One more week hopefully. $105 used on Amazon.
@klote2314 I’ll try and say it so you can understand.
This card is a model card, meaning display only! He handles it so that we can have a better look at it.
@silenceyouidiot
he setting a wrong image dont ever hold a card lke this newbies that want to buy cards for the first time and look at this idiot will do the same thing as he did!
